First, I wanted to say thank you to everyone for your incredible support over the past year. Starting a business has been a wild adventure. I never would have guessed at 23 I would be not only a pet groomer, but also a truck driver, mechanic, photographer, social media manager, receptionist, web designer and more! From working most of the year without a generator, to fixing broken pipes, flat tires, and dead batteries, your patience and trust has meant the world. I’m so thankful for each of you - and your pups, most importantly, have made all the challenges worthwhile.

As we head into the new year, I’m excited to share some updates that will help me better serve you and our furry family.

New Scheduling Process

Starting January 2025, I’ll be scheduling appointments in 4-month blocks.

January 1st - April 30th: Booking is open!

May 1st - August 30th: Booking opens April 1st.

September 1st - December 31st: Booking opens August 1st.

Appointments will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

To make the most of my routes, each area (North Shore, Windward side, Honolulu) will be serviced on specific days of the week, but Saturdays will serve as a “float day” for clients outside of my main service areas, and/or clients that aren’t able to accommodate weekday appointments. Thanks to the new organization, online booking should make a return soon!

Pre-Booking Appointments

To ensure a regular grooming schedule, I highly recommend pre-booking your appointments for each block! Pre-booked appointments can be made on a 2, 4, or 8 week schedule. While I will no longer offer monthly discounts, clients who commit to this type of scheduling will lock in current rates - this is my way of saying thank you for your loyalty and dedication to your pup’s grooming routine!

For existing clients, I understand that life gets busy, so I’m happy to groom your pup even if you’re not home— similar to how a dog walker or pet sitter operates. By arranging access to your home or yard, setting out your pup’s leash, and any special instructions ahead of time, your pup can still get groomed without you needing to adjust your plans.

If you aren’t able to book in months in advance, or prefer a different schedule, that’s okay - I recommend booking your next appointment, or reaching out 3-4 weeks in advance if you need a specific time.

Consistent pricing: No surprises or sudden changes.

Priority scheduling: First pick of appointment dates and times.

Happier pets: Regular grooming reduces stress and keeps the skin, nails, and coat healthy. Plus, I can develop a relationship with your pet, and provide better insight on any changes - think new lumps, bumps, skin issues, or behavioral changes.

In the coming months, PLD might look a little different - a new website, online shop(!!!), and more fun things are in the works! But rest assured it’s still me, Moni, behind it all, spoiling your pup with the one-on-one attention and all inclusive spa experience they deserve. Happy New Years, and thanks for being here!
